Andrea Richards M.A.
In addition to being the Managing Director of CHC, Andrea works on projects involving archaeological surveys and assessments, historic preservation, and also projects where climate-induced and other natural hazards intersect with heritage. Her work includes project development and management, heritage impact assessments and cultural heritage surveys, policy development, public engagement with heritage, site management and interpretation, world heritage and intangible heritage nomination processes, and visitor management planning. Andrea is a graduate of the Institute of Archaeology University College London. Prior, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in History and Archaeology at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus. Andrea also brings to CHC experiences working in Europe, Southern Africa, and the Middle East. She is a global expert for UNESCO under its Heritage in Emergencies programme and its 2003 and 1972 Conventions, and works with countries to provide support in developing and implementing pre-disaster baselines and actions, post-disaster needs assessments and constructing culture sector post-disaster recovery programming.
